How to Calculate a Weighted Grade

Multiply each grade by its category weight, then add the weighted values together.

The formula

weighted grade = sum(grade x weight / 100)

Example

If tests are 60% of your course and your test grade is 80%, the test contribution is 48 points. A homework grade of 90% weighted at 40% contributes 36 points, so your current weighted grade is 84%.
